Can't sleep/Change

Its late... god its so late. I can't sleep because I've nervous about my new job. I'm not sure how things will go but I hope it goes off with a bang! I don't know though, things are changing and I'm not sure I'm ready for this... change. I still ned to find a place to live, which isn't working out at all really. At 26 for some unknown reason life has decided to throw me the ball, but can I make the shot? Can I do what I need to do before I end up losing out. I've missed out on so much in my life; driving, having a a real paying job, being in a relationship with a girl I actually and not someone who I don't really get along with or question; but why now? Why not like when I was 15 or something. Like today, I was told that I was just "Korey". What does that mean? I mean yeah okay I am a bit geekie, I'm fat, and my voice is high but saying that I'm just "Korey", like it was a bad thing? Have I been put in the friend zone at full time? I need to change to big time and start living the life I want! I need to be... more then just "Korey: The Okay Guy That Girls Don't Fall For"... I need to be "Korey: Guy You Would Like To Get To Know More About". Change needs to come this year and now.

Today my little brother played hard!

Epic Chick Fight!!! (Family Guy Style)

Family Guy has been one the greatest cartoons out there in the toon universe. They are best known for pushing the envelope on many topics to the point of no return but still finding away to teaching everyone a lesson of some kind. One thing in the show they everyone would agree is the best part and one of the most memorable parts of the show is the "Peter vs Chicken" epic battle. If you've never seen any of the fights that these two have had then check out the clip below which has one of the fights.

  

But I'm not here to talk about that fight, I'm hear to tell you guys about clip I came across last night called, "Epic Chick Fight (Live Action Chicken Fight)". This is a remake of the peter vs chicken fight that you see above. Two stunt women, Jessie Graff and Tree O'Toole, dress up in their Family Guy gear to show us how the fight would look in real life while borrowing some other editing techniques that other filmmakers have used in their films like "300". I really enjoyed it myself and I hope you enjoy watching it. Can't wait to see if they do fight 2-4.

Evil Ted's 100th epsiode/Doctor Who episode!

So we are coming up on episode 100 for The Evil TeddyBear Podcast, which is awesome and I'm excited about. It's been a long road to get here but still we have a long way to go before we are done.

For the 100th episode I wanna do something big and memorable but I also want it to be nerdy has hell. So I decided to try and do a live podcast somewhere, not sure where yet but I would like to try at this place called The Hangar, which we went to a Doctor Who party too... if not there then some place else we will figure it out. For those who don't know, The Hanger is a comedy place where a lot of comedic person I know go and do shows like improv, stand-up and more.

Now speaking of Doctor Who, I'm trying to put together a episode of The Evil TeddyBear Podcast in which it's nothing but Doctor Who chat before the 50th Anniversary come around. Just like the Chasing Greedo Podcast episode I did for Star Wars Day - May the 4th (be with you), I wanna get fans involved in the episode. If you wanna hear yourself on the podcast here's what you'll need to do

I Need To Get Somethings Off My Chest

There are some things I would like to get off my chest, mainly things that are pretty personal to me. For years I would smile and pretend things are okay. I mean things should be ok but they aren’t. I feel like things could be better but I’m not sure if it’s because I’m scared that I don’t want to move on from how things are. I look around at all my friends and see them happy, in love, married, having kids, doing everything that I want but I won’t allow myself to have. I feel like the world is too big for me to live the way I’ve been living. So I need a change in my life big time.

Now the only time I feel really happy is when I’m podcasting. I get to just talk to people I would never think to talk to, people who are really interesting and who have good hearts. Just the other day I was doing a show with one of my close friends and she said that my heart is good. Most times I feel like an asshole though because I know I could do more for my family and yet I won’t let myself. I’m my own worst enemy I feel sometimes, you know what I mean?

At this point in my life I just wanted to be in love and have family. Instead I’m stuck at home with no job, I’m fat, and I’m lazy. No woman would even look at me twice looking the way I look and I don’t blame them. Who would want to be with a loser like me? I mean I bring nothing to the table to really. I don’t know maybe my fate is to be alone. Now I know you say, “But Korey everyone has somebody for them”, but let me ask you this, who told you that there is somebody for everyone? I mean have they really met everyone in this world? I don’t think so. And if by chance I do find this girl who falls for me, will I ever be enough for her? Will she be enough for me? I guess I won’t know until I find out right?

My friends are the people who make me happy to be alive but sometime I feel like they try to keep me out of the loop. I don’t know why I feel that way but it’s how I always felt. Growing up it was rare that I had people who liked me for who I was or am. In my mind though, I always thought to myself, ‘Why would these people like me?’ or ‘What can I do to not screw this up?’ My mind when it comes to friends is very… crazy I guess? I don’t know. I just look at their lives and say; I wanna be like them and do what they do. 

I don’t think I can write anymore right now because my head hurts with too many questions. I just want to be normal and feel belonged in this world but does that make me human to feel that feeling? Do I even want to be human? I couldn’t tell you. I will tell you this before I leave to go have Christmas with my family; all of what you see on me is a mask. I’m really screaming out loud for help and attention, just waiting to be noticed by someone in this fucking world. I’m Korey Epps and I wish I was better.  I’m sorry for those who read this and are scared of me now. Sorry.

Traci Hines: The Little Mermaid

So just got done watching a hell of a music video that, if you like Disney movies like the old Disney movies we used to watch when we were younger, then you will love this. The music video is called "Part Of Your World" and is was sung but a talented women by the name of Traci Hines. I hadn't heard of Traci until I came cross a video called "Hipster Mermaid Teaser", which is a teaser for "Hipster Mermaid". Of course if you know me, you know what drew me into the video, the red hair. I swear people the end of me will be a redhead ha ha.

Anyway, this video definitely brought back memories of watching The Little Mermaid for me. Yes I've seen The Little Mermaid, I was a child of the 90s people. I thought it was shot pretty well and the setting looked magical. I mean whoever did the edit work did a damn good job. Besides all the tech stuff, I really love Traci's voice. I mean if they made a live action Disney Little Mermaid movie I would want her as Ariel. I mean they would be crazy to pass her up as Ariel.
 

Over all I feel that Traci Hines is going to have a long career in music, acting, modeling, or whatever else she does. She definitely has the following that goes far and I for one look forward to seeing what else she does.

Clerk 3? YESS!!!

So yesterday Kevin Smith made a big announcement, well he made two big announcements, which blew my mind!!! He announced that his script for Hit Somebody was being turn from a movie to a mini-series and that his last film will be Clerks 3!!! That’s right we are getting another last taste at the View Askew universe. I know I’m pretty excited about this because if you know me, I’m a huge Kevin Smith fan!! He inspires me to do what I love doing right now and that will never change at all.

There are some things I had to ask though, like if we will see Becki, played by Rosario Dawson, or Elias, played by Trevor Fehrman.  I loved these characters in the 2^nd movie and I thought they fit in well. The relationship between Dante and Becki was pretty romantic to me and the way Randall and Elias went back and forth with each other was pretty funny. Of course you can’t forget Jay and Bob themselves, played by Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith because it wouldn’t be a movie without them.  I wonder though, how much would they look the same because Jason looks nothing like he did in Clerks 2 and Kevin… well I think I’m just used to seeing him in the SIR jersey all the time. Whatever though I’m excited!!

My other questions though, who from the SModcast Network will be involved with Clerks 3, will Scott Mosier come back too, and where will Kevin end his Clerks movie?  I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Today the new teaser trailer for Star Trek: Into The Darkness has hit the internet!! I for one can't wait to see what some of my favorite Star Trek Characters get into!! Check out the trailer below!!

The DBZ We All Want

If you all remember there was a movie that came out a that turned some of us anime fans away from the series. A movie that we all hated so much that every time you say its name people just fill with pain and anger. Dragon Ball Evolution came out in 2009 which was directed by James Wong and starred Justin Chatwin, James Marster, Emmy Rossum, and Chow Yun Fat as Marster Roshi. If you remember, this film was about a young warrior named Goku who sets out on a quest to find the dragon ball and stop the evil Piccolo from destroying the world. This movie wasn't all the great and had a lot of things missing. For example Goku never went to school and some of the animal in the Dragon Ball world talked. The movie was a big flop and almost hated by every Dragon Ball fan in the world.

Quite recently, a fan trailer hit the interwebs for a fan made Dragon Ball Z movie and it show the potential a good live action DBZ movie could be. The trailer was made by a small production called K8KProduction and stars Peter Peralta, Aaron Ly, Ryan Oliva, Michael Amariah, David Cheung, Isky Fay, Lee Edaward Jones, Brandon Ly, Zack Nizato, & Oliver Faber as all of our favorite DBZ characters from the Saiyan Saga.

I thought this was the DBZ I've always wanted to see come to life on the big screen but unfortunately we got the DBE.... Hollywood's  aborted baby of a film. If you haven't checked out the trailer then watch it below!!

The Evil TeddyBear Podcast Store, iTunes, & Stitcher.

Lately I've been really busy trying to find myself in the podcasting world and I feel like i'm pretty much there now. I've been doing this podcasting thing for about a year now and I have been having a blast doing it. I have reviewed movies I loved and hated, I've interviewed really awesome and sweet people, the podcast is part of a podcasting network, and now we are on iTunes. Things have been looking up for me and now I have more I wanna do for it.

Starting today we will open a store, The Evil TeddyBear Podcast Store, for you all to purchase TETB items and Chasing Greedo items. I've been wanting to do this for a while now and what a perfect time to do this? Here you can find shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and other items with the podcast logo on it. Hopefully by making money off of this I can put the money towards bigger projects for The Evil TeddyBear Podcast and get better equipment for a better listening experience. I would also like to use the money to set up for filming a secret project I'm working on with my co-host Thomas Fine. So hopefully you all will like the items we have for you.

Another thing that happen this past week, we finally got on iTunes after 56 episodes of The Evil TeddyBear Podcast. The reason we weren't on iTunes before was because, we didn't know anything about making an RSS feed. After a year of doing this podcasting thing and talking to other podcasters I finally made an RSS feed for the podcast and spent two weeks uploading episodes so we can get on iTunes. Now it took a while to get on iTunes because they kept turning us down but, after the 20th time we finally got on it!! I was happy my iTunes dream came true and hope that it makes it easier for people to download. We are also on Stitcher now so everyone can stream it on their smartphones without downloading and filling their iPods or phone up with podcast and music. I've used this app before to listen to my favorite podcast and it's pretty awesome for while your driving or working out or just whatever you love doing. I've been using it months and I'm glad to be among some of the great podcasters who are on it!!
